This month, several new businesses have opened and closed their doors in the Tyler area.

Among them:

Party City

Party City, the nation’s largest party supply chain, is reportedly going out of business and closing all its more than 850 stores across 45 states and Puerto Rico. According to CNN, store managers have been informed that all locations are expected to shut down by Feb. 1, 2025. It remains unclear whether stores will close immediately or hold going-out-of-business sales.

The discount retailer attributed its closure to the collapse of a sale to a private equity firm, although it expressed hope of reviving the deal or securing a new buyer by early January.
