All Saints, Winnsboro, Athens among the numerous basketball tournaments this weekend

December is here, and that means basketball tournaments galore.

All Saints will host the annual Brookshire Classic.

The boys bracket features eight teams, and there will be four girls teams.

The girls schedule for the event is Thursday — All Saints vs. Frisco Legacy, 3 p.m.; John Cooper vs. Bishop Gorman, 7 p.m.; Friday — Bishop Gorman vs. All Saints, noon; Frisco Legacy vs. John Cooper, 3 p.m.; and Saturday — Bishop Gorman vs. Frisco Legacy, 9 a.m.; and All Saints vs. John Cooper, 10:30 a.m.

Thursday’s first-round schedule for the boys is All Saints vs. King’s Academy, noon; Cross Roads vs. Alba-Golden, 1:30 p.m.; Greenhill vs. Village Tech, 4:30 p.m.; and Bishop Gorman vs. Cypress Christian, 6 p.m.

Games will begin at 9 a.m. Friday. The championship is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Winnsboro Hoopfest will feature 22 girls teams.

Thursday’s first-round schedule is Leander Glenn vs. Sulphur Springs, 8 a.m.; Quitman vs. Brownsboro, 8 a.m.; Winnsboro vs. Paul Pewitt, 9:20 a.m.; Paris vs. Longview, 9:20 a.m.; Texas High vs. Lone Oak, 10:40 a.m.; Lindale vs. Mount Vernon, 10:40 a.m.; Malakoff vs. New Boston, noon; Canton vs. Whitehouse, noon; Hallsville vs. Edgewood, 1:20 p.m.; and Chapel Hill vs. Pittsburg, 1:20 p.m.

There will be second-round games on Thursday at 2:40, 4, 5:20 and 6:40 p.m. Games on Friday begin at 8 a.m. The championship game is scheduled for 1:20 p.m. Saturday.

The Athens Invitational has 12 boys teams and 12 girls teams.

Thursday’s boys schedule is La Porte vs. Canton, 9:30 a.m.; Pittsburg vs. Fairfield, 11 a.m.; Peaster vs. Bullard, 12:30 p.m.; Lindale vs. Palestine, 2 p.m.; Athens vs. Pittsburg, 3:30 p.m.; Canton vs. Henderson, 5 p.m.’ and Lindale vs. Tuluso-Midway, 6:30 p.m.

Thursday’s girls schedule is Scurry-Rosser vs. Eustace, 8 a.m.; Ennis vs. Gladewater, 9:30 a.m.; Fairfield vs. Corsicana, 11 a.m.; Scurry-Rosser vs. LaPoynor, 12:30 p.m.; Athens vs. Ennis, 2 p.m.; Fairfield vs. Palestine, 3:30 p.m.; and Palestine vs. Tuluso-Midway, 9 p.m.

There will also be bracket games on Friday. The girls championship is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Saturday, and the boys championship will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

The Slocum Tournament will feature 12 girls teams and 12 boys teams.

Girls bracket play will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, and boys bracket play will begin at noon Friday. The girls championship will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, and the boys championship will be at 6:20 p.m. Saturday.

Whitehouse, Longview and Jacksonville are competing in the Lufkin Hoopfest, which features 12 boys teams.

Bracket play is on Friday and Saturday with the championship scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.

The Tyler Lions, Hallsville Bobcats and Tyler Legacy Lady Raiders are in the Craig Bowers Memorial Tournament in Royse City.

Tyler will play Greenville at noon Thursday and Royse City at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Hallsville will play North Forney at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Tyler Legacy will play Greenville at noon Thursday and Prestonwood at 3 p.m. Thursday. Tyler will face Terrell at noon Friday. Hallsville will take on Community at 1:30 p.m. Friday and Bryan Adams at 6 p.m. Friday. Legacy will take on Dallas Thunder at 9 a.m. Friday and Dallas Christian at 3 p.m. Friday.

The girls championship is set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday, and the boys championship is at 3 p.m.

The White Oak/Union Grove Tournament is set for Thursday through Saturday.
