PINE TREE WINS 2
ATHENS — At the Athens Tournament on Thursday, the Pirates defeated Palmer, 9-4, and fell to Fairfield, 11-3.
Against Palmer, Bosston Johnson tripled, doubled and drove in two runs for the Pirates. Dalan Montgomery added two singles and two RBI, and Peyton Hightree and Trey Nafrady both doubled. Hightree drove in two runs, and Nafrady chased one run home. Braydon Marsh struck out six and walked three in five innings, and Hightree fanned two in one scoreless inning of work.
Colton Croft doubled, Zachary Duhart singled twice, Croft singled twice and drove in a run and Marsh added a single and an RBI against Fairfield. Braylen Bush struck out four and walked four in three innings, and Manuel Williams fanned three with no walks in 1.2 innings.
SPRING HILL TAKES 2
KAUFMAN — Jayce Atkins struck out six and walked four in three innings, and Brennan Myers fanned one with no walks in two innings as Spring Hill blanked Kaufman on Friday.
Trent Thompson doubled for the Panthers, and Cayson Wilkins drove in a run.
In a 4-2 win over Crandall, Mason Barnes struck out eight, walked one and allowed no earned runs in 5.2 innings. Brennan Myers fanned a couple with no walks in 1.1 innings. Corbin Broyles singled twice and drove in two runs for the Panthers. Travis Allen added an RBI.
HALLSVILLE 3, LEWISVILLE 2
HALLSVILLE — Kaden Aiken went seven innings on the hill for the Bobcats, who scored in the bottom of the seventh to earn a 3-2 walk off win over Lewisville. Akin struck out six and walked three.
Trentan Johnson singled with the bases loaded to drive in Cade Stuckey with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh. Stuckey had singled, and the Bobcats loaded the bases when Kade Chappell and Cole Sellers were intentionally walked. Landon Vineyard finished with three singles and an RBI, and Dunn Smith also drove in a run.
KILGORE DROPS 2
JASPER — In an 8-1 loss to Nederland, Rafello Adamez went 2.2 innings on the mound for the Bulldogs, giving up one earned run, and Jaxon Warner struck out one and walked four in 1.1 innings.
Miles Applegate and Joseph Hendrickson both doubled for Kilgore, and Applegate drove in a run.
In an 11-1 loss to Bridge City, Brody Smith, Jaxon Dickey and Miles Applegate all pitched for Kilgore. Kolton Hale singled and drove in a run in the loss.
CARTHAGE LOSES 2
JASPER — The Bulldogs fell 5-1 to Melissa and 11-0 to Nederland on Friday.
Cale Preston struck out five and walked three in seven innings against Melissa. Cade Ross doubled and drove in a run to lead the Bulldogs on offense.
Alex Welk, Andrew Gwinn and Kason Burchette all pitched against Nederland. Cade Moore and Maddox Martinez had the lone Carthage hits, both singles.
GILMER WINS PAIR
ATHENS — The Buckeyes scored twice in the top of the seventh to edge Malakoff, 3-2.
Ryder Lange went seven innings on the hill for Gilmer, striking out five and walking five. Zach Turner doubled, singled and scored twice. Brayden Pate doubled, singled and drove in a run, and Lange and Aden Vineyard both chipped in with a single and an RBI.
In a 7-5 win over Mildred, Klein Lindsey struck out two and walked two in five innings, and Aiden Davis went an inning on the mound for Gilmer. Lathan Kemp doubled twice and drove in a run. Lindsey added a double and an RBI. Turner singled twice and plated one run, and Lange, Zane Tyner and Pate all drove in runs.
NEW DIANA
In a 6-3 win over Marshall, Jon Wick struck out five with three walks in five innings, and Landon Melton pitched one scoreless inning, striking out one. Levi Green doubled, singled and drove in two runs, Hadley Overby had a single and two RBI, and Mason Sherman and Keaton Bogue both singled twice for the Eagles. Bogue and Remi Rountree drove in runs, with Rountree doubling.
GLADEWATER
The Bears blanked LaPoyner (6-0) and fell to Chapel Hill (5-3) on Friday.
Against Chapel Hill, Mason Budro struck out four and walked four in three innings and Landen King fanned three and walked two in two innings. Madaxx Vasquez doubled and singled, scoring twice, and Sean Burke doubled and drove in a run.
Burke went six innings on the hill against LaPoynor, striking out six and walking one. At the plate, Luke Brown doubled and singled, and Carson Wood doubled and drove in two runs. King added a double, and Preston Bohanon drove in a run.
WEST RUSK
Jason Reasoner fanned four and walked one in five innings as West Rusk notched a 7-2 win over Eustace.
Gunner Harp singled twice and drove in two runs, and Cole Jackson had two singles and an RBI for the Raiders. Troy Hunley also drove in a run.
HARMONY
The Eagles earned a 10-3 win over Paris and dropped a 15-0 decision to Mount Pleasant on Friday.
Jake Rider struck out five, walked one and gave up three earned runs in five innings against Paris. Blayne Hart homered, doubled and drove in two runs, and Cole Byrd and Ollie Trimble had two hits apiece. Trimple, Cy Stracener, Leithen Wilkerson and Cooper Pickitt all drove in runs.
Four Eagles pitched against Mount Pleasant, and Tucker Armstrong had the lone Harmony hit.
DAINGERFIELD
The Tigers got two singles and two RBI from Jayden Mitchell and a double, single and an RBI from Weston Collard in an 8-3 loss to Van. Tanner Foster also doubled for the Tigers. Treston Smauley and Tanner Teeter both struck out three and walked one for the Tigers. Smauley worked 4.1 innings and Teeter pitched 2.2 frames.
HAWKINS
The Hawks collected seven hits and swiped 15 bases in a 16-2 win over Sulphur Bluff.
Brayden Givens struck out seven and walked five in 2.2 innings pitched. Landen Burns singled and drove in two runs, and Givens had a triple and two RBI. Burns also stole four bases, and Tilar Maberry swiped three bags.
In a 10-2 win over Bloomburg, Eli Smith struck out five and walked five in four innings, and Smith singled twice and drove in two runs for the Hawks. Paxton Metcalf and Brayden Givens doubled, with Givens and Maberry driving in two runs apiece. Landen Burns also chipped in with an RBI.
In a 10-0 win over Leverett’s Chapel, Riggin Smith fanned six and walked three, giving up one hit in four innings. Metcalf singled, doubled and drove in a run. Eli Smith and Hunter Kirklin both singled and drove in two runs, and Landen Burns, Riggin Smith and Brayden Givens added RBI.
In a 12-0 win over Bloomburg, Colt Smith fanned three and walked two in three innings for the Hawks. Riggin Smith doubled, singled twice and drove in tow runs. Brayden Givens added a double and an RBI, and Eli Smith and Landen MrDak had an RBI apiece.
ORE CITY
Easton Pena struck out four and walked a couple in four innings, allowing no earned runs in a 6-4 win over Como-Pickton.
Gage Cavanaugh singled twice and drove in two runs. Blake Johns added a double and two RBI, and Ty Main singled and chased two runs home.
BECKVILLE
Reed Chapman struck out five and walked three in five shutout innings for Beckville in a 10-0 win over Gary.
Baker Seegers singled and doubled, and Aiden Brantley had two doubles, two RBI and three runs scored. Aiden Harris tripled, singled and drove in three runs, and Reese Davis and Chapman both doubled for the Bearcats. Braxton Bullock and Chapman drove in runs.
In the second game of the double header, Baker Seegers struck out 10 and walked seven in 5.1 innings and Brock White tripled and drove in two runs in a 6-2 Beckville win.
Brxton Bullock added an RBI for the Bearcats, and Aiden Harris doubled once and scored once.
ARP
The Tigers scored once in the bottom of the seventh to walk off with a 5-4 win over Chapel Hill.
Isaac Poe struck out four and walked four in 4.2 innings, and Brody McDow worked 2.1 innings on the mound for the Tigers. Will Sanford homered and drove in two runs, and Hudson Orpineda had two singles and an RBI. Layton Shelburne singled and drove in a run.
OVERTON
In an 11-0 win over LaPoynor, Rylan Holleman struck out five and walked two in six innings and added a home run, double, single and five RBI at the plate.
Bryson Bobbitt singled three times and drove in two runs. Jayden Edwards added a double, single and three RBI. Bryce Still doubled and singled, and Brody Brown singled and plated one run. Mason Rowe chipped in with a double.
