UPDATE: On Dec. 13, 2024, 16-year-old Vi’ola McDaniel Frazier was safely located in Phoenix, Arizona, according to a post on the Troup Police Department’s Facebook page. Arrangements are underway to bring her home. Police thanked the public for sharing their post. Previous story is below.

The Troup Police Department is investigating the disappearance of Frazier, who officers say ran away from her home in Troup on Nov. 28. Authorities believe she may be in the Tyler area, although her current location remains unknown.

Vi’ola’s case is listed on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children’s website at missingkids.org/poster/NCMC/2037871/1.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts or who has had recent contact with her is urged to call the Troup Police Department at 903-842-3211.

The department reminds the public harboring a runaway is a criminal offense under Texas law. Those aware of a runaway’s location are required to report the information to law enforcement or the child’s legal guardian. Failure to comply with the law not only endangers the child’s safety but also carries legal consequences.

The family of the missing girl has shared that she has run away multiple times in the past, the police department said. According to what her grandmother and parents told police, they currently do not believe she is in immediate danger.

Tips and information can help bring Vi’ola home safely. Community members are encouraged to contact authorities immediately if they have any details about her case.
