ET Basketball (Girls): Longview, Tyler earn wins

LONGVIEW 66, R. CITY 47: ROYSE CITY — Four Lady Lobos scored in double figures, and Longview moved to 18-4 overall and 3-3 in District 10-6A play with a 66-47 win over Royse City.
Jailyah Rockmore paced Longview with 19 points. Terri Sparkman added 13, Bethany Baltes and Maya Ward 10 apiece, Trinity Huey and Paris Simpson five each and Daniella Baeza four. Sparkman also had nine rebounds, Baltes four assists and Simpson six rebounds.
TYLER 64, MT. PLEASANT 42: MOUNT PLEASANT — The Tyler High Lady Lions won their sixth consecutive game on Saturday, downing the Mount Pleasant Lady Tigers 64-42.
The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but potential inclement weather forced a postponement until Saturday.
The Lady Lions improve to 24-5 on the season and 10-0 in District 10-5A. Tyler has won 15 of its last 16 games. Mount Pleasant goes to 12-8 and 6-4.
Tyler returns home on Tuesday, hosting Marshall at 6:15 p.m.
Mount Pleasant visits Hallsville on Tuesday.
CHAPEL HILL 40, SPRING HILL 24: LONGVIEW — Aryssa Cooper scored 11 points and had three steals as the Chapel Hill Lady Bulldogs stayed unbeaten in District 16-4A with a 40-24 win over the Spring Hill Lady Panthers on Friday.
Chapel Hill moved to 17-8 overall and 7-0 in district. The Lady Panthers dropped to 18-8 and 5-2.
Necie Johnson and Ra’Niyah Suell added six points apiece for the Lady Bulldogs, followed by Tobi Adams (5), Ra’Nyah Tomlinson (4), Ayana McGill Gardner (3), Dinya Griffin (3) and Lorena Taylor Fuentes (2).
Adding rebounds were Suell (6), Johnson (5) and Griffin (4). Contributing steals were McGill Gardner (6) and Johnson (4).
Chapel Hill visits Kilgore on Tuesday with Spring Hill hosting Gilmer on Tuesday.
CANTON 63, ATHENS 26: CANTON — The Canton Eaglettes stayed unbeaten in District 15-4A with a 63-26 win over the Athens Lady Hornets on Friday.
The Eaglettes are 6-0 in district and 21-5 overall. Athens is 11-11 and 1-5.
Chloe Howe led Canton with 18 points with Allison Rickman added 17. Howe and Rickman each had two 3-pointers.
Also scoring for the Eaglettes were Lily Cervantes (12 points, 1 3-pointer), Addison Capps (6 points), Lexi Etheridge (4 points), Emery Martin (3 points, 1 3-pointer), Rylee Busby (2 points) and Izzie Stone (1 points).
W. POINT 38, COMMUNITY 15: In District 13-4A action, the Wills Point Lady Tigers got 12 points from Allison Kafka and 10 from Lacey Luna on the way to a 3815 win over the Community Lady Braves.
S. SPRINGS 49, PITTSBURG 38: SULPHUR SPRINGS: In District 14-4A action, the Sulphur Springs Lady Wildcats rallied for a 49-38 win over the Pittsburg Lady Pirates.
Randieunna Jeffery had 19 points in the loss for Pittsburg, which led 14-13 after one quarter but trailed 25-20 at halftime.
Camryn Mackey added eight points for Pittsburg. Gina Mackey had five, Jakyra Fletcher three, Vivianne Marquez two and Nataly Gonzalez one.
TATUM 34, TROUP 25: TATUM — Kamdyn Scott scored 13 points to lead the Tatum Lady Eagles to a 34-25 win over the Troup Lady Tigers on Friday in a battle of the top teams in District 16-3A girls basketball.
Tatum improves to 16-6 overall and 6-0 in district while the Lady Tigers fall to 18-5 and 4-2.
Scott also had four rebounds and four steals. Aundrea Bradley finished with eight points, three rebounds, five steals and three blocks, Kaleigh Hooker six points and four assists, Rhianna Harris four points, eight rebounds and four steals, Alecia Halton three points, three assists, three rebounds and two steals and Addyson Saunders two assists.
Qhenja Jordan led Troup with eight points, followed by Amari Shepard (6), Paisley Skinner (5), ZaQuirah Jordan (2), Violet Eason (2) and Jakeira Davis (2).
Skinner had a 3-pointer for the Lady Tigers.
Troup plays host to White Oak at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Tatum visits White Oak on Jan. 17.
SABINE 37, GLADEWATER 30: GLADEWATER — Sarah Roberts, Kaitlynn Sanchez and Ella Dot Phillips all scored eight points for Sabine as the Lady Cardinals earned a 37-30 District 16-3A road win against the Gladewater Lady Bears.
Bailey Pierce finished with five points for Sabine. Autumn Rhodes and Presley Johnson added two apiece, and Jayda Lewis chipped in with a free throw.
N. DIANA 46, DAINGERFIELD 26: DAINGERFIELD — Jolie Ballard recorded a double-double for New Diana, and the Lady Eagles earned a 46-26 win over Daingerfield in District 13-3A action.
Ballard finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds and six steals, and Starrmia Dixon added 10 points, two rebounds and two steals for New Diana, which led 16-4 after one quarter and 24-13 at the half. Taryn Reece finished with eight points, three rebounds and two steals, Ava Smith four points, six rebounds and two steals, Bailey Tennimon four points and three rebounds and Sawyer Stapleton two points and five rebounds.
JEFFERSON 51, H. SPRINGS 17: HUGHES SPRINGS — Jordyn Davidson led three Lady Bulldogs into double figures with 15 points, and Jefferson rolled to a 51-17 District 13-3A win over Hughes Springs.
Keinysa Wallace had 13 points and Stormi McNeil added 11 for Jefferson, which led 12-2 after one quarter and 27-6 at halftime. Jade Mallory had four points, Janaa Goynes and Kaliyah Whitaker three apiece and Destiny Kelly two. McNeil added 14 rebounds and seven locks, Wallace 13 rebounds, Goynes six rebounds, four assists and four steals and Davidson four rebounds, six assists and four steals.
HARMONY 29, MPCH 11: HARMONY — The Harmony Lady Eagles moved to 3-0 in District 13-3A play with a 29-11 win over Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill.
Kenner Pylant led the way for Harmony with 10 points. Evie Helpenstill added seven, Triniti Mauk six, Rendi Seahorn four and Mally Davidson two.
Kayda White scored six points in the loss for MPCH.
HAWKINS 72, L-KILDARE 21: LINDEN — The Hawkins Lady Hawks completed the first round of District 21-2A play with a 6-0 record after scoring a 72-21 victory over Linden-Kildare on Saturday.
The Lady Hawks are 18-1 overall and 6-0 in district. The Lady Tigers are 3-3 in league.
Taetum Smith tied her career-high in scoring with 36 points. She had a double double after garnering 11 steals. Also, Smith had three assists.
Other contributors for Hawkins were Alaya Scoggins (9 points), Londyn Wilson (9 points), Karsyn Johnson (5 points), Alana Gipson (3 points, 2 steals, 2 assists), Ava Ellison (3 points), Haylee Skipworth (3 points, 2 steals), Abby McQueen (2 points), Jentri Evans (1 point) and Keiper Pruitt (1 point).
Hawkins travels to Ore City on Tuesday.
U. GROVE 58, O. CITY 13: ORE CITY — Taylor Campbell dropped in 19 points, Nico Carloni added 12 for the Lady Lions and Union Grove rolled to a 58-13 District 21-2A win over Ore City.
Danica Vestal added six points, Keira Taylor and Sarah Prince five apiece, Rachel Potter and Mallorie Cannon four each, Olivia Dabreu two and Jamie Webb one.
Union Grove led 16-5 after one quarter and 36-8 at halftime.
AVINGER 72, BLOOMBURG 7: BLOOMBURG — The Avinger Lady Indians moved to 18-3 overall and 2-0 in District 20-A play with a 72-7 win over Bloomburg.
Haylee Downs and Jordyn Dowell scored 22 points apiece for Avinger. La’Nyiah Williams added 16, and Charlene Kress scored 11.
Avinger will host Sulphur Bluff on Tuesday.
