James A Lozier
TYLER — James A. “Jim” Lozier, of Tyler, son of John and Virginia Lozier of Corpus Christi, TX, passed January 22nd, 2025 at the age of 81 years old. He is survived by his wife, Linda, and his children and their families. He was a proud member of the Tyler community for over 47 years, and was active in the Kiwanis Club, BBB, Shriners, and Pollard United Methodist Church. He was the longtime owner of Firestation Auto Center and Firestation Service Center. He was a devoted father and beloved “Papa”, and is best known for loving his family, telling great stories, tinkering with cars, and enjoying baseball – possibly in that order.
A memorial will be held Saturday Feb 1st, 10:30am at Pollard UMC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation to the Tyler Junior College “Lozier Scholarship Endowment Fund”, a lasting scholarship created by Jim to support students in their automotive careers. (giveto.tjc.edu/lozier)
