Missing 15-year-old, her baby located safely; Bullard man, 18, arrested

UPDATE: Around 4 a.m. Friday morning, Smith County investigators found Lily Grimes and baby Elizabeth Johnson at a home in Chandler. Both were unharmed and returned safely to their family.
Smith County investigators worked through the night, speaking with Cameron Freeman, 18, of Bullard, who they believed was dishonest about the whereabouts of Grimes and her baby, according to the sheriff’s office. Early Thursday, they found Freeman at a Chandler home, where he admitted the two were with him.

By 8 a.m., 114th State District Judge Austin Reeve Jackson issued warrants for Freeman’s arrest on charges of harboring a runaway, false report to a peace officer, and an unrelated charge of sexual assault of a child. Bonds were set at $75,000 each for the first two charges and $400,000 for the latter.
Freeman is being booked into the Smith County Jail.
