The 28-acre property — which also features two lakes, a replica log cabin and more — opened to the public Friday.
The garden is maintained though the nonprofit Helen Lee Foundation. Although admission is free, donations are accepted.
And beginning this season, a new parking area will allow visitors to walk the trail.
“You may walk any or part of the trail, from any parking area in the same direction as the driving visitors,” according to the garden’s Facebook page. “Please remember to yield to traffic, and if you plan to hike be sure you arrive in time to honor our closing time. Enjoy a hike in our magical garden!”
Also this year, visitors will be able to buy daffodil bulbs. Check the garden’s Facebook page for details.
The garden, at 21600 CR 3103 in Gladewater, is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily until the blooms fade, which is usually mid-March.
