Tyler’s latest business openings and expansions include new eateries, wellness and fitness expansions and relocations and more.

Pizza Ranch restaurant, arcade in the works for Tyler

A Pizza Ranch restaurant and arcade is planned for Tyler at the French Quarter Shopping Center.

According to records filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the restaurant will be located in the former Ken’s Pizza space at 4526 S. Broadway Ave., Suite 110, and will involve an interior remodel of the existing building. Construction is expected to begin April 1, with completion scheduled for Sept. 1.

The project is estimated to cost $500,000 and will cover approximately 11,435 square feet, based on state filings.

Founded in Hull, Iowa, in 1981, Pizza Ranch offers pizza, chicken wings and other menu items.

Small Sliders to open next week

Smalls Sliders is expected to open its Tyler location later this month at 1781 S. Southwest Loop 323. The grand opening is set for March 10. 



Small Sliders has a menu that features high-quality ingredients for its signature cheeseburger sliders and waffle fries. The fast food joint also offers milkshakes.

Those eating at the restaurant can use the drive-thru or “camp out at our Can,” the website states. 

The restaurant will be owned by franchisee Hank Hopkins and will join Smalls Sliders’ existing Texas locations in Willis, McKinney, Houston and El Paso.

Jucys officially opens in Whitehouse

Jucys Hamburgers officially opened its Whitehouse location this week at 13970 State Highway 110 South.

The family-owned restaurant, which began in 1980 with its first Longview location, offers drive-thru service and a full dining area in its 2,730-square-foot building. The Whitehouse opening adds to Jucys’ East Texas footprint, which includes locations in Tyler, Longview, Marshall, Gilmer, Carthage, Henderson and Palestine.

New Firestone facility coming to Tyler on Troup Highway

Firestone Complete Auto Care is under construction at 5012 Troup Highway in Tyler.

According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the privately funded project involves a 6,769-square-foot facility at an estimated cost of $2.5 million. Construction began in July 2025 and there has been no announcement of opening.

New dermatology clinic opens in Tyler

Wallis Dermatology Associates, PLLC has opened a new location in Tyler at 2365 Three Lakes Parkway.

The dermatology practice, which also operates locations in Longview and Marshall, began seeing patients at the Tyler clinic in early February. Wallis Dermatology Associates offers a range of medical and cosmetic dermatology services, including microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, skin cancer treatment, psoriasis care, and surgical treatment for various skin conditions.

The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon.

F45 Training expands with new studio in Tyler

F45 Training Legacy Trail is relocating to a larger space just one mile from its current location on Old Jacksonville.

The new studio will feature expanded class areas, a full FS8 offering Pilates, Tone and Yoga, updated locker rooms, and a community hub with shakes, coffee and Kids Club care. The facility is expected to open this fall.

F45 Training shared on Facebook that they are thankful for their coaches and community, calling the expansion a “blessing” for their team and members.

The new location is situated between Bruno’s and Hagens Lighting. 

UT Health moves urgent care 

As of Monday, UT Health East Texas Urgent Care in Canton is operating from a new location at 406 E. State Hwy. 243, inside the UT Health East Texas Physicians Clinic.

 The urgent care will continue to offer extended hours and walk-in access for patients needing prompt treatment for minor illnesses and injuries. Services include care for fever, colds, flu, sprains, strains and cuts requiring stitches.

 Hours of operation remain: 

  • Monday–Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
  • Saturday–Sunday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. 

By co-locating with the family medicine clinic, patients benefit from seamless access to both immediate care and ongoing primary care, supporting long-term wellness for children and adults. The new location also enhances access to a full range of occupational health services, including: 

  • Pre-employment physicals and screenings
  • Workplace injury evaluation and treatment
  • Drug and alcohol testing
