Tyler man gets 40 years for roommate’s murder after meth-fueled stabbing

A man who stabbed his roommate to death in Tyler last summer was sentenced to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to murder Friday morning.
Kenneth Maison Homan, 38, entered a guilty plea in connection with the murder of Seth Stone, 41, in the early morning hours of Wednesday, July 23. He agreed to a 40-year plea deal that Judge Kerry Russell then sentenced him to. He also admitted to a burglary and drug manufacturing convictions in the past.
An arrest document says Homan and Stone smoked meth together before Homan became upset and attacked Stone with a knife.
