Beto O’Rourke to host town hall in Tyler

Former U.S. Congressman Beto O’Rourke will visit Tyler on Sunday, June 29, as part of his statewide town hall tour. The event will take place at the Holiday Inn at 5701 S. Broadway Ave. Doors open at 2:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 3:00 p.m.
O’Rourke’s team said his stop in East Texas is aimed at opening dialogue, addressing local concerns, and mobilizing community support. The public is invited to attend.
Throughout the month, O’Rourke’s team said he has traveled across the state, holding more than a dozen town halls, including 10 in congressional districts currently represented by Republicans. Stops have included Amarillo, Wichita Falls, Waco, Denton, Rosenberg, Garland, Humble, Houston, and Mansfield, where he has taken questions from Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and those unaffiliated with any party.

Prior to arriving in Tyler, he will host events in San Antonio and Laredo. Following the Tyler town hall, he will head to Beaumont.

O’Rourke has hinted at a potential U.S. Senate run in the future. O’Rourke most recently visited with Tyler-area residents during a campaign stop in Tyler on Feb. 8, 2022 at the Glass Recreation Center in Tyler.
