WHITEHOUSE — Montez Creekside Kitchen is expected to reopen Friday afternoon following a temporarily closure.

Owner Gloria Munoz said the restaurant, located at 1010 State Highway 110 in Whitehouse, temporarily closed effective June 2. In an announcement on social media Thursday, Munoz said the restaurant will open its doors at 3 p.m. Friday.

Munoz has obtained sole ownership of the restaurant, which required some permits and other technical changes that led to the temporarily closure. She was hopeful the closure would last only a few weeks, and it ended up lasting less than two weeks.

Munoz is excited for Montez Creekside to become a woman-owned business in Whitehouse. She said she is very thankful for the community’s support over the last several years.

“We are thrilled to announce that our company has undergone a transformative change of ownership name, while our establishment name remains the same, and we have now received all necessary approvals, enabling us to reopen our doors with renewed enthusiasm,” the announcement reads. “We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our vibrant community for the overwhelming love and support they have showered upon us.”

Munoz said the change goes beyond just a new name.

“… it’s a renewal of our commitment to serving you with even more energy, passion, and the same heartfelt hospitality you’ve come to know and love,” Munoz said.
