WHITEHOUSE — Montez Creekside Kitchen is temporarily closed but is excited to reopen within a couple weeks.

Owner Gloria Munoz said the restaurant, located at 1010 State Highway 110 in Whitehouse, has temporarily closed effective Monday afternoon, but the restaurant will be reopening as soon as possible in its same location.

Munoz has obtained sole ownership of the restaurant, which requires some permits and other technical changes leading to the temporarily closure, she said Monday afternoon during a phone call with the Tyler Morning Telegraph.

She hopes the restaurant’s doors are back open within a couple weeks.

Although it’s been difficult to deal with the temporary closure, Munoz is excited for Montez Creekside to become a woman-owned business in Whitehouse. She acknowledged the gap that will be felt in the community during the closure and said she is very thankful for the community’s support over the last several years.

“This is more than just a new name, it’s a renewal of our commitment to serving you with even more energy, passion, and the same heartfelt hospitality you’ve come to know and love,” Munoz said in a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “While we take this short pause, please know it’s only to come back stronger, refreshed, and ready to welcome you back with open arms.”

Munoz said more updates will be posted to the restaurant’s Facebook page and invited the community to stay tuned for the exciting things ahead.
