TYLER — Curtis Carroll Bradshaw, 94 of Tyler, was born December 8, 1930, in Center, Texas. He passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, in Comfort, Texas.
Curtis was preceded in death by his parents, Elton and Vera Bradshaw, wife of 46 years, Hellen, and wife Wilma Bradshaw of 7 years, brothers, K.P, J.T., Paul, Jack, and sister Bobbie Barbee.
He is survived by his brother Walter (Gene) and wife Martha Bradshaw of Center, Texas, son Mitch Bradshaw and wife Sandy of Ingram, Texas, Daughter Jan Wisener and husband, Wes, of Nacogdoches, Texas, stepdaughter Kathy Longino and husband Robin of Tyler, Texas, stepson Kenny Riley and wife Belinda of Winnsboro, Texas, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Curtis served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1951-1955. He worked for Angelina College, Stephen F. Austin State University, and University of Texas at Tyler. He was the director of financial aid for each of these locations until his retirement.
Curtis loved the Lord and attended the West Erwin Church of Christ in Tyler, Texas until bad health set in.
The family would like to thank the staff of Comfort Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility for their special care. We would also like to thank Betty Strait – a very close friend of many years and special caregiver. During his stay in Comfort a special friend, Debra Barker, served as a loving caregiver each day.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Keith Schaefer, Rusty Wilson, Tanner Wisener, and Travis Wisener, great grandsons, Chase Schaefer and Cobey Wilson.
In lieu of flowers the family request that donations in Curtis’s name be given to the charity of your choice.
Mr. Bradshaw’s family will have a time of gathering and visitation on Saturday, March 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home with a graveside service following at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with Dr. Bill Allen officiating.
