The Tyler Junior College Apache Ladies (17-11, 8-4) play host to the Angelina College Lady Roadrunners (11-14, 4-8) on Saturday in a Region XIV women’s basketball game at Wagstaff Gymnasium.

Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.

Before the game at 1:45 p.m., TJC Coach Trenia Tillis Hoard will honor her sophomores.

Sophomores scheduled to be honored include: point guard Da’Lonna Choice (Dallas/East Texas A&M), guard Amari Welch (Canton), guard Kamora Jackson (Tyler), center Fenishka Bertho (Miami, Florida), forward Grace Ezebilo (Nigeria) and center Clementina Odom (London, England/East Central CC, Mississippi).

The Apaches (15-13, 9-11) are on the road, traveling to Carthage to meet Panola (22-6, 15-5) in a 4 p.m. tipoff.

BASEBALL

The TJC baseball squad (12-7, 1-3) travels to Bossier City, Louisiana to meet Bossier Parish Community College (10-5, 2-2) in a doubleheader. The first game is set for noon, followed by Game 2 at 3:30 p.m.

The Apaches are back home Wednesday, hosting Angelina College (1 and 3:30 p.m.) at Trinity Mother Frances Mike Carter Field.

SOFTBALL

The TJC softball team (14-6) has home games on Monday (1 and 3 p.m.) vs. Grayson County and Wednesday (1 and 3 p.m.) vs. Trinity Valley Community College (20-2).
