Brook Hill playing for trip to TAPPS State Tournament

Brook Hill will play for its first trip to the TAPPS State Tournament when it takes on Fort Worth All Saints in the regional final at 6 p.m. Friday at Forney High School.
The Guard advanced to this game with a 56-42 home win over Lubbock Trinity Christian on Tuesday.
The score was tied at 17 after the first quarter. Brook Hill led 29-27 at halftime and 43-33 after three quarters.
The Guard outscored the Lady Lions 27-15 in the second half.
Savannah Onley led the way with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Zuzanna Majchrzak had 13 points, four rebounds, eight assists and three steals. Mylee Booth had 11 points and nine rebounds. Indeya Williams had 4 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and five steals. Lila Morris had 3 points, and Remy Tonroy added 2 points, three assists and two steals.
Brook Hill is now 34-6, a win total that is six more than the previous school record that was set last season. Brook Hill’s seniors have 97 wins in their career.
The winner of Friday’s game will advance to face either Austin Hyde Park or Midland Christian in the TAPPS Class 5A semifinal at 4 p.m. Thursday at Waco University High School.
