The TASO Softball Classic was originally scheduled to begin Thursday but will now just be played Saturday due to inclement weather.

Saturday’s schedule for Tyler Legacy is Alto vs. Winnsboro, 8 a.m.; Alto vs. Sabine, 9:20 a.m.; Malakoff vs. Sabine, 10:40 a.m.; Longview vs. Winnsboro, noon; Alto vs. New Diana, 1:20 p.m.; Sabine vs. Hudson, 2:40 p.m.; Malakoff vs. Tyler Legacy, 4 p.m.; Tyler Legacy vs. Winnsboro, 5:20 p.m.; Hudson vs. Malakoff, 6:40 p.m.; and Tyler Legacy vs. Hudson, 8 p.m.

SOFTBALL ROUNDUP

TYLER LEGACY: The Tyler Legacy Lady Raiders went 1-3 in Frisco’s tournament over the weekend, falling to Lebanon Trail (8-2), Frisco Centennial (9-5) and Frisco Memorial (13-7) and defeating Frisco Independence (5-2).

Against Lebanon Trail, Aubrie Kirk homered. ReNaa Hicks had the other hit.

Kirk struck out five and allowed one earned run in two innings in the circle.

Against Centennial, Sophia Viramontes had a double. Hicks and Haley Tucker each had a single.

Kirk didn’t allow an earned run and had three strikeouts.

Against Memorial, Viramontes had a triple. Hicks, Ruby Byers and Gracie Albritton all had a single, and Tucker had three RBIs.

Kirk didn’t allow an earned run and had three strikeouts.

Against Independence, Kirk had two doubles and three RBIs. Hicks, Hadison Maxey and Aymette Mata all had a single.

Kirk allowed one unearned run on one hit with a strikeout and two walks in one inning. Byers allowed one unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts in three innings.

BULLARD: The Bullard Lady Panthers went 6-0 in the NFCA Leadoff Classic in College Station.

The Lady Panthers opened with a 9-2 win over Weatherford, which was head coach Julie Murry’s 300th career win.

Down 1-0 in the fourth inning, the Lady Panthers scored eight runs in the bottom half of the frame.

Denim Boles went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double and two RBIs. Baylie Walker had two hits with a double. Kirstin Malone had two hits. Brooklyn Brannen had a double and two RBIs.

Brannen allowed one run on two hits with eight strikeouts and three walks in five innings. Kaitlyn Ramirez pitched the final inning.

Bullard took a 6-4 win over China Spring. Malone had two hits, and Boles drove in two runs.

Hudsen Walker got the win, allowing for runs on four hits with three strikeouts and five walks in five innings.

The Lady Panthers then took a 10-2 win over Sinton. Karter Swanson, Brannen and Boles all homered. Brannen had four RBIs, and Boles drove in three runs. Brannen had two hits, and Malone doubled.

Ramirez allowed two runs — one earned — on three hits with three strikeouts and three walks in five innings.

Bullard defeated El Paso Montwood 11-1. Malone homered. Baylie Walker and Boles both doubled. Brannen allowed one unearned run on three hits with eight strikeouts and a walk in five innings.

Bullard defeated Alpine 11-2. Malone homered. Kamyn Honzell and Emery Baker each had a double. Hudsen Walker allowed two runs — one earned — on three hits with four strikeouts and four walks in four innings. Ramirez struck out two and allowed one hit and one walk in a scoreless inning.

WEST RUSK: Dustyn Redden tripled, doubled and drove in seven runs, Aylin Rocha added two doubles and five RBI and the Lady Raiders rolled to a 27-7 win over Palestine.

Paisley Smith added two singles and three RBI. Kamyah Lacy singled twice and drove in three runs. Summer LeJeune added a single and three RBI. Kenlee Reasoner doubled and chased three runs home. Kara King singled and drove in two runs, and Jasmine Luna added an RBI. Reasoner struck out three and walked six in four innings.

TROUP: The Lady Tigers earned wins over Tyler (10-1), and Como-Pickton (4-0 and 6-3) over the weekend.

Against Tyler, Kiyah Arterberry homered, singled and drove in two runs for Troup. Olivia Anderson added a double and an RBI, Makayla Spencer a triple and an RBI and Taylor Gillispie a double and an RBI. Arterberry struck out four and walked four in two innings pitched.

Arterberry struck out seven and walked three in four innings in the 4-0 win over Como-Pickton. Shiloh Sluder singled twice, Ava Hays doubled and drove in a run and Liliana Priest homered and added two RBI. Gillispie also chipped in with a double and an RBI.

Arterberry homered and drove in three runs, Gillispie added a solo home run and Hays had two singles and two RBI in the 6-3 win over Como-Pickton. Gillispie fanned 10 with no walks and three hits allowed in six innings pitched.

BIG SANDY: Journie Plunkett led the offense with a home run, triple and five RBI as the Ladycats notched a 16-6 win over Paul Pewitt.

Kiley Doggs doubled and singled. Jorga Stewart had a home run, single and two RBI. Maddie Freeman doubled twice and drove in two runs. Lexie McCartney homered and drove in two, and Kimber Rushing and Ashton Hart also added RBI. McCartney handled the pitching chores, striking out six and walking one in five innings.

OVERTON: The Lady Mustangs got three strong innings in the circle from Kelsey Vaught in a 4-0 win. She struck out six with one walk and no hits allowed, while Anna Perkins and Bryleigh Nelson drove in runs for Overton. Perkins tripled and singled, and Nelson had a double.

VAN: The Lady Vandals got two doubles and two RBI from Emerson Swoape in a 7-6 win over Rockwall.

Maylan Hale singled twice and drove in a run. Tatum Horton doubled and plated a run, and Lanna Tschirhart, CharLee Carr and Jaelynn Jones all chipped in with RBI. Jailey Potter struck out seven and walked four in four innings.

In a 6-3 loss to Birdville, Potter and Averi Crouch both singled twice, and Horton drove in two runs. Hale added an RBI, and Horton handled the pitching chores. She struck out four and walked four in five innings.
