Lindale’s Isai Ornelas has earned Tyler Morning Telegraph Boys Soccer Player of the Week honors for games played Feb. 10-15.

Ornelas delivered a hat trick, scoring three of the Eagles’ goals in a 6-0 win over Grand Saline.

Bishop Gorman’s JJ Rodriguez had two goals.

Tyler’s Marvin Espinal had two goals and an assist in the Lions’ 6-1 win over Texas High on Friday at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.

In the Lethal Soccer State Rankings, Tyler Legacy is No. 11 in Class 6A; Mount Pleasant No. 16, Jacksonville No. 25 and Whitehouse No. 36 in Class 5A; and Kilgore No. 4, Palestine No. 7 and Pine Tree No. 20 in Class 4A.
