ARK-LA-TEX JUNIOR GOLF: The schedule is set for the 2025 Ark-La-Tex Junior Golf Tour.

The season will begin on Monday, June 2 with an adult/youth event at Alpine Golf Club in Longview.

Other tournaments are Monday, June 9 at Meadowbrook Country Club in Kilgore, Thursday, June 12 at Texarkana Country Club, Thursday, June 19 at Northridge Country Club in Texarkana, Monday, June 23 at Wood Hollow Golf Club in Longview, Thursday, July 3 at The Tempest in Liberty City (adult/youth), Monday, July 7 at Sulphur Springs Country Club, Monday, July 14 at Alpine Golf Club in Longview, Monday, July 21 at Wood Hollow Golf Club in Longview (adult/youth), Monday, July 28 at Alpine Target Golf Center in Longview (end of summer skills challenge) and Monday, Aug. 4 at Pinecrest Country Club in Longview (Tournament of Champions).

To qualify for the Tournament of Champions, players must play in three or more tournaments or earn a medal in at least one tournament.

All events will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.

KC FOOTBALL COMBINE: Kilgore College football will hold a combine/tryouts on Saturday, March 1 at R.E. St. John Memorial Stadium in Kilgore.

Check-in is at 10 a.m., and the combine will run from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m.

Drills will include a 40-yard dash, pro shuttle, position drills and 7 on 7.

Cost is $30, with walk-up registration only.

Athletes should wear comfortable athletic shirts/shorts and football cleats (turf).

SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT: The inaugural Battle of the Bats Co-Ed Softball Tournament, presented by the Camp County-Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce, is set for May 3 at Broach Park in Pittsburg.

Entry fee is $300 per team, and bracelets for unlimited home runs are $25.

ETCA HALL OF HONOR: Officials from the East Texas Coaches Association (ETCA) announced the seven exceptional individuals, representing the sport of football, who will be honored during the 2025 ETCA Hall of Honor banquet on March 1.

Hall of Honor inductees include:

The ETCA Hall of Honor Banquet is set for 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at The Holiday Inn North — Infinity Event Center, 300 Tuttle Circle, Longview.

The ETCA supports coaches, parents and student athletes through the promotion of football in East Texas; professional development for coaches; provision of scholarships and financial aid to coaches in times of personal tragedy.
