Henry Yolain and Jacob Shanhouse scored goals to help lead the Tyler Legacy Red Raiders to a 2-1 win over the Rockwall Yellowjackets on Friday in a District 10-6A boys soccer game at Red Raider Field.
The Red Raiders improved to 8-0-1 on the season and 4-0 in district. Rockwall falls to 8-4 and 2-2.
Adding assists for Legacy were Braer Leblanc and Axel Ruben.
The Red Raiders are scheduled to visit Rockwall-Heath at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Rockwall visits Royse City on Tuesday.
BROOK HILL 2, CRISTO REY 1
BULLARD — Jemezu Tesie and Javi Gavito scored goals, helping the Brook Hill Guard to a 2-1 win over Dallas Cristo Rey on Friday in a TAPPS District 2 Division II soccer match at Herrington Stadium.
The Guard improves to 13-1-1 on the season and 7-0 in district. Cristo Rey fell to 11-5-2 and 6-1.
Jose Gonzalez had an assist.
Christian Pous made 12 saves while in goal.
The Guard begins the district tournament on Feb. 13 in Round Rock. They will play at 2:30 p.m.
GIRLS
BROOK HILL 9, CRISTO REY 0
BULLARD — Hadleigh Clark scored six goals in leading the Brook Hill Guard to a 9-0 win over Dallas Cristo Rey on Friday in a TAPPS District 2 Division II soccer match at Herrington Stadium.
The Guard improves to 6-7-1 overall and 4-2 in district. Cristo Rey is 1-5 in district.
Also scoring goals for BH were Blair Brister, Peyton Byars and Scarlett Kerr.
Assists were from Kerr (2), Sophia Bonin (2), Amarachi Opara, Anne Savage and Tamara Odhiambo.
Riley-Jane McCord was in goal for the clean sheet, making two saves.
The district tournament begins on Tuesday as the Guard will host a game.
BULLARD 5, ATHENS 3
BULLARD — Mollie Carlile scored three goals and Paige Barrett had three assists as the Bullard Lady Panthers defeated the Athens Lady Hornets 5-3 on Friday in a District 14-4A soccer match at Panther Stadium.
The Lady Panthers are 9-1 overall and 6-0 in district.
Barrett also scored a goal and there was an own goal.
Rhylie Graul and Niyah Gee also had assists.
The Lady Panthers are scheduled to host Cumberland at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, while the JV visits Tyler High for a 5 p.m. match on Tuesday.
