If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, check out this list of events and activities around East Texas.



United Dog Owners Group — UKC Dog Show, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, Longview Exhibit Building, 1123 Jaycee Drive. Show will consist of vendors, conformation shows, rally trials and nosework trials.

Longview Public Library Book Sale, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 31, 222 W. Cotton St. Customers also can fill a bag for $1 or a box for $2. All sale profits will go to the Friends of the Longview Public Library, the nonprofit group that benefits the library. Cash, check, and cards are accepted.

Lego @ The Library, 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 1, Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St., Longview. Free-for-all Lego build. Attendees invited to “create something original and different based on the theme” and to “try to stay away from pre-made models.” Library staff will judge the submissions and choose a champion from three age brackets.
