Boys Soccer Notebook: Lindale’s Seth Baggett takes weekly honor

Lindale’s Seth Baggett has earned Tyler Morning Telegraph Boys Soccer Player of the Week honors for games played Jan. 20-25.
Baggett, a senior midfielder, scored five goals and had an assist in wins over Brownsboro and Athens.
Baggett had a hat trick and an assist in a 7-1 win over Brownsboro. He then scored two goals in a 4-3 victory against Athens.
In other outstanding performances in the area last week (nominated by coaches):
Tyler Legacy’s Henry Yolain, who moved from North Dakota, scored a goal and dished out two assists in his first district game in Texas.
Bishop Gorman’s Manuel Lozano had a goal and two assists in a 5-0 win over Lakehill Prep.
Brook Hill’s Enrico Giberti had four goals in two district wins.

In the Lethal Soccer State Rankings, Tyler Legacy is No. 11 in Class 6A; Mount Pleasant No. 16, Jacksonville No. 25 and Whitehouse No. 36 in Class 5A; and Kilgore No. 4, Palestine No. 7 and Pine Tree No. 20 in Class 4A.
