Rita Norris

TYLER — Rita Ann Watson Norris, age 78, passed away on November 27, 2024, in Tyler. She was born in Lindale in 1946 to Ray and Marguerite Watson. Rita was a Lindale native and a proud resident of her hometown most of her life. She was a member of Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church. She went to TJC, graduating in 1994 with a degree in medical records management and worked at Healthsouth and ETMC until retiring.

Rita was good at so many things, but will be remembered for her cooking, crafting, sewing, gardening, her fun-loving personality and her warm, caring heart.

Rita is survived by her children, Christy Humphries and Chad Norris; grandchildren Julianne Williams and husband Keenan, Emily Norris, Candace Norris, Aaron Norris and Nicholas Humphries; and three great-grandchildren, Leo, Hadley and Kaiden.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church, with visitation at 1:00 and service following at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mt. Sylvan Baptist Church Building Fund.
