The Smith County Democratic Party and the Smith County Democratic Club have merged into a single organization, according to a press release from the Smith County Democratic Party.

Leaders said the merger aims to consolidate resources, streamline operations and improve efficiency.

By combining funding, volunteers and outreach efforts, the unified organization seeks to enhance communication, eliminate redundancy and provide a stronger foundation for voter mobilization, membership growth and advocacy for Democratic policies, the groups stated.

It also intended to increase the impact of voter registration, education and outreach initiatives while aligning priorities under a clear strategic plan. Leaders said the consolidation represents a structural change to strengthen Democratic efforts across Smith County.
