TYLER — Frances “Fran” Hancock Johnson, 80, entered into eternal rest, January 3, 2025, in Bullard, TX. Fran was born in Orlando, FL, on November 29, 1944. She married the love of her life, Dan Johnson, in 1973 and they shared over 50 years together.
Fran was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception Church. She received her B.S. from Texas Eastern School of Nursing in Tyler, TX, followed by achieving her RN, CNOR, AORN, and multiple other accreditations, memberships, and associations in the nursing field. Her nursing career spanned over 30 years. Fran loved cruises, shopping, and spending time with her family and grandkids.
Fran was preceded in death by her husband, Dan Johnson, her parents J. Hancock and Mary Frances Kirkpatrick Hancock, her sisters, Dorothy Moore and Virgina Hancock Stavinoha.
She is lovingly remembered by her five children and their spouses: Dan Johnson, Jr. and wife Amy, Knox Johnson and wife Diane, Darin Lyon and wife Rebecca, Stephanie Brewer and husband Jim, and Heather Judd and husband Jeff. Her legacy extends to her cherished 11 grandchildren (Matthew, Katelyn, Chase, Ashley, Makenzie, Erika, Ali, Reagan, Mallory, Hailey and Hunter), and four great-grandchildren. Fran also leaves behind two sisters, Thelma Clancy and husband, Jerry Don, and Sarah Dolan.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 pm, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at South Spring Baptist Church Student Center, Tyler, TX.
In addition, the family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful staff at Bluebonnet Point Wellness and Heart to Heart Hospice for their unwavering support and compassionate care.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice Foundation or Alzheimer’s Association.
