TYLER — A ministry in East Texas is working to spread Christmas cheer to those who need it most.

For many unhoused people, the holidays can be a difficult time, highlighting feelings of isolation and loneliness — but a local group is making sure they feel cared for and appreciated. For the 13th year, Hunger for Love is sponsoring “Christmas Under the Bridge” in Tyler.

The event was filled with fun activities, hot meals and holiday cheer for anyone struggling with the holiday season. The festivities kicked off Saturday at 5 p.m. at the bridge on Valentine Street.
