Lady Lions’ Coach Reynolds gets 200th win

Tyler Lady Lions Coach Bobby Reynolds was happy his team is 4-0 in District 10-5A basketball.
But that was only one of the big events on this Tuesday night.

It was also Reynolds’ 200th career coaching win as the Lady Lions scored a 64-47 win over a tough Jacksonville Maidens team at the Lions Den.
“I couldn’t ask for a better setup,” Reynolds said. “We wanted to play the toughest team in district by far. We know those type of teams bring out the best in us. That being said it was a great feeling.
“Jacksonville is a great team. But tonight was the Lady Lions’ night. I am so happy.”
In the second game of the doubleader, the Lions broke out to a big lead only to see the Indians fight back within two points in the third quarter before Tyler pulled away in the final period for a 59-51 league win.
LADY LIONS
Kaylse Buffin led Tyler with 26 points and 10 rebounds as the Lady Lions go to 13-4 overall and 4-0 in district.

The Maidens fall to 14-3 and 3-1.
“They wanted it for me,” Reynolds said. “They talked about it … how they wanted to make this home game for Coach Reynolds a memorable one.”
Indeed they did.
Bralyah Miller added 14 points and nine boards. Others scoring for Tyler were LaTajia Hambrick (8), Jer’Miya Rice (7), Jaz Moore (4), Bra’Shia Miller (3) and Makayla Taylor (2).
Tia Fuller led Jville with 19 points while adding nine rebounds. Trunijah Butler added nine points and seven boards with Sa’Kiya Anderson and Macquicia Roberts each scoring eight. Robertson also had eight boards.
LIONS
The Lions are 10-5 on the season and 2-0 in district. The Indians are 3-9 overall and 1-1 district.
Jaishua Brown had a double double with 21 points and 10 rebounds, along with sevven steals and five blocks.
Geo Mitchell added 16 points, followed by Damien Yarbrough (7), Jasyn Grayson (6), Tayvean McMiller (4), Cam Singleton (3) and Keiland Garvey (2).
Grayson had 10 rebounds.
Isaiah Hamilton led Jacksonville with 15 points, followed by Jayden Creel with 12 points and eight boards.
