BOYS

Four players scored in double figures in a balanced attack for Tyler HEAT in the victory.

“It’s a tough place to play,” Tyler HEAT head boys basketball coach Ryan Tomlin said. “It was back and forth. We weren’t getting many stops, but the positive thing was we were scoring. It’s loud, and you can’t hear anything. Our guys did a great job of playing through all of that, trying to do what we do.”

Coen Starr led the way with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

“He’s one that can be a matchup problem because he can play down low, and he can shoot the ball,” Tomlin said. “He’s been phenomenal. He’s a tough-nosed kid who loves physicality, and we need that on our team. Anytime it’s a physical game, he’s ready to go.”

Waker Hartman and Kedren Penney each scored 12 points, and John Hall had 10 points and six rebounds for Tyler HEAT. Eli Anderson had 7 points and five assists. Aiden Shelton scored 3 points, and Trey Madrid added 2 points.
