Jefferson senior running back Kamran Williams earned Class 3A honors with the release of the Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Week list on Wednesday.
Williams, a UNLV verbal pledge, was joined on the Week 10 list by Stratford defensive back Parker Johnson in 6A, Burbank quarterback Keven Hernandez in 5A, Hamshire-Fannett quarterback Ty Bryson in 4A, Honey Grove linebacker Levi Beavers in 2A and Mercy Culture Prep quarterback Landon Martinez for private schools.

Now in its 19th season, the Built Ford Tough Texas High School Football Player of the Week program honors players for their performances on and off the field.
Williams carried 34 times for 228 yards and a touchdown, caught a 31-yard touchdown pass and scored the game-winning 2-point conversion with just 40 seconds left in Jefferson’s 35-34 win over Liberty-Eylau to clinch the district championship.
“Obviously, what you’re going to do in a game this big is make sure your main dude gets the ball,” Jefferson head coach Ty Taylor said. “For him to have more than 250 all-purpose yards when everyone in the stadium knows it’s coming is just a testament to his ability. He’s a great talent, but he’s really stepped up as far as taking on a leadership role. He asked me if he could talk to the team Monday to make sure everyone knows we’re not done and we can’t be satisfied. He’s not afraid to call people out, but when the defense is on the field he’s on the sidelines cheering them on.”
Beavers completed 9 of 18 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown, carried 26 times for 129 yards and two scores and recorded 15 tackles, a fumble recovery and two tackles for loss in a 26-14 win over Cooper.
“He’s the best football player I’ve ever coached,” Honey Grove head coach Shane Fletcher said. “He’s been an all-state linebacker the past two years, and was slated to play running back this year due to graduation, but we lost both of our quarterbacks to injury. He hadn’t taken a snap since his freshman year, and got thrown into that role. He’s a little banged up, but you sure couldn’t tell it Friday.”
Johnson had 14 tackles, two interceptions and a pass breakup in a win over Cypress Ridge.

Bryson completed 17 of 19 passes for 462 yards and six touchdowns in a 55-8 win over Shepherd.
Martinez completed 15 of 19 passes for 278 yards and six touchdowns to go along with one rushing TD in a win over Reicher.
