CINCINNATI — A fiery Joe Burrow completed his first 15 passes and finished 27-of-39 for 251 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Cincinnati Bengals past the visiting Las Vegas Raiders 41-24 on Sunday.

Burrow, who matched his career high in touchdown passes, started the game 15-of-15 for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Bengals overcame an early 7-0 hole to post their first home win of the season in five tries.

Chase Brown recorded his first career 100-yard game, rushing 27 times for 120 yards while catching a touchdown pass. Tight end Mike Gesicki hauled in five receptions for 100 yards and two second-half scores.

The Bengals (4-5) won a game they needed on a short week before taking on the AFC North rival Ravens this Thursday night in Baltimore.

On defense, Cincinnati’s Trey Hendrickson recorded a career-high four sacks and took over the NFL lead with 11.

Gardner Minshew II was 10-of-17 passing for 124 yards for the Raiders (2-7), who dropped their fifth straight game since a 2-2 start to the season. Former Cincinnati Bearcats star quarterback Desmond Ridder replaced Minshew with five minutes left in the third quarter and threw a touchdown pass to rookie tight end Brock Bowers.

The Bengals played the game without several of their key weapons on offense as starting left tackle Orlando Brown Jr., running back Zack Moss and starting wide receiver Tee Higgins all missed the game with injuries. Receiver Charlie Jones missed the game with a groin injury while rookie receiver Jermaine Burton was a mysterious healthy scratch.

The Bengals broke the game open on Burrow’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Andrei Iosivas with 32 seconds left in the first half and a 2-yard TD toss to Drew Sample to cap the opening drive of the second half, expanding Cincinnati’s lead to 24-10.

After slamming his helmet to the turf on the sideline after a failed series, Burrow committed his only miscue when his pass was intercepted by Jack Jones and returned 29 yards for a touchdown, cutting Cincinnati’s lead to 31-17 with 13:17 left in the fourth quarter.

A 47-yard touchdown throw to Gesicki two drives later restored Cincinnati’s 21-point lead with 5:37 left.

The play marked Demercado’s first touchdown of the season and the third of his career. It also was the longest career run for Demercado, a second-year player out of TCU.

EAGLES 28, JAGUARS 23

PHILADELPHIA — Nakobe Dean intercepted Trevor Lawrence with 1:38 remaining in the end zone and the Philadelphia Eagles survived a second-half surge by the visiting Jacksonville Jaguars for a 28-23 victory on Sunday.

Saquon Barkley gained 199 yards from scrimmage and scored two touchdowns, DeVonta Smith made a spectacular scoring grab and the Eagles (6-2) won their fourth straight game after blowing a 22-0 lead.

Barkley rushed for 159 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 40 yards and a score. Jalen Hurts passed for 230 yards and two touchdowns and ran for a TD.

The Jaguars (2-7) were shut out for nearly 40 minutes by coach Doug Pederson’s former team before erupting for 16 points in 14 seconds to pull within 22-16.

Lawrence put Jacksonville on the board with a 1-yard run and a two-point conversion pass to Brian Thomas Jr. with 5:26 left in the third quarter.

On the first play of Philadelphia’s ensuing possession, Travon Walker scooped Barkley’s fumble and took it 35 yards to the house. Lawrence completed a two-point pass to Evan Engram.

The Eagles answered with a 91-yard drive. Smith’s one-handed, 25-yard snag in the back of the end zone with 7:43 left put Philadelphia up 28-16.

Lawrence’s second rushing touchdown of the game, from 4 yards, trimmed the deficit to 28-23 with 4:04 left.

A 57-yard field-goal attempt by Philadelphia’s Jake Elliott struck the right upright with 2:11 left, giving Lawrence a shot to win it before Dean came up with his first career pick.

Jacksonville lost for the fifth time by five or fewer points. Lawrence passed for 169 yards and two INTs and rushed for two scores.

The Jaguars managed only one first down and 31 yards of offense in the first half.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nick Folk converted a 25-yard field goal with 2:32 left in overtime Sunday and the Tennessee Titans snapped a three-game losing streak with a 20-17 win over the New England Patriots.

Folk’s second field goal of the game capped a drive that ate the first 7:28 of overtime. New England’s ensuing possession ended when Amani Hooker intercepted a deep pass over the middle from rookie quarterback Drake Maye with 2:17 remaining.

The Patriots (2-7) forced overtime when Maye threw a 4-yard touchdown pass to Rhamondre Stevenson on the final play of regulation. Maye eluded multiple defenders and flipped the ball to the end zone while being hauled down to the turf by two Titans.

BILLS 30, DOLPHINS 27

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Tyler Bass put a 61-yard field goal right down the middle with five seconds remaining to lift the Buffalo Bills to a 30-27 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

Buffalo (7-2) led by seven after Josh Allen connected with Quintin Morris for a 2-yard touchdown and a 27-20 lead with 6:18 left in the fourth quarter.

However, Miami (2-6) proceeded to zip down the field, knotting things at 27 on Tua Tagovailoa’s 7-yard scoring strike to Jaylen Waddle.

But Bass came to the Bills’ rescue, and following his kick, a lateral play by the Dolphins went nowhere.

Allen finished with 235 yards, three touchdowns and an interception on 25-of-39 passing as Buffalo won its fourth straight game. Khalil Shakir hauled in six catches for 50 yards.

Tagovailoa completed 25 of 28 passes for 231 yards and two TDs but the Dolphins dropped their third straight game. Tyreek Hill finished with four receptions for 80 yards, while De’Von Achane rushed for a score and was on the receiving end of another.

Raheem Mostert fumbled on the first drive of the third quarter, setting Buffalo up at its own 36. Eleven plays later, Allen found Mack Hollins for a 1-yard touchdown on fourth-and-goal. Bass missed the ensuing extra-point attempt, leaving the Bills up 12-10.

Jason Sanders made Bass’ miss sting even more when he made good on a 23-yard field goal with 2:59 remaining in the third to move the Dolphins in front.

Buffalo didn’t stay down for long, though, as Ray Davis scored on a 63-yard catch-and-run just 52 seconds later. The Bills then cashed in on a two-point conversion attempt to make it 20-13.

Achane tied the game at 20 with an 8-yard TD run early in the fourth.

Cleveland attempted to cut into its 17-point, fourth-quarter deficit by calling on Dustin Hopkins for a 51-yard field-goal attempt, but his kick was low and hit Los Angeles’ Teair Tart hit in the chest. The Chargers took possession at the Cleveland 46-yard line with 6:30 left in the game.

Four plays later, Dobbins scored on a 7-yard run to make it 27-3 with 4:16 left.

RAVENS 41, BRONCOS 10

BALTIMORE — Lamar Jackson threw three touchdown passes and guided the Baltimore Ravens to a 41-10 victory over rookie Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Baltimore running back Derrick Henry ran for 106 yards on 23 carries with two touchdowns. He earned his 100th career rushing touchdown, surpassing Barry Sanders on the all-time list.

The Ravens (6-3) still trail the Steelers (6-2) in the AFC North. Pittsburgh is on its bye this week.

Jackson was 16-of-29 passing for 280 yards and did not commit a turnover. He improved to 4-0 against the Broncos since entering the NFL in 2018. Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers caught five passes for 127 yards with two touchdowns.

Denver (5-4) lost for just the second time in the last seven games.

The Ravens’ beleaguered secondary got a boost with the return of cornerback Marlon Humphrey, who leads the AFC with four interceptions. Humphrey missed last week’s 29-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns with a knee injury. Baltimore entered Sunday ranked last against the pass, allowing 291.4 yards per game.

Nix, who was named NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month for October, was 19 of 33 for 223 yards with an interception. Nix also became the first quarterback in franchise history to catch a touchdown pass since John Elway (1986).

Denver finished with 122 yards rushing on 30 carries. The Broncos were 1-of-5 on fourth down.

Baltimore led 24-10 at the half, highlighted by a pair of touchdown passes from Jackson to Flowers for 7 and 53 yards. Flowers finished with more than 100 yards receiving for the fourth time in five games.

After stopping the Broncos on a fourth-and-1, the Ravens took a 7-0 lead on a 7-yard scoring run by Henry.
