EDNA MAE PINKERTON
CHANDLER — Edna Mae Pinkerton, age 87, passed away on October 13, 2024, in Chandler, Texas. Born on May 12, 1937, Edna was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, cherished for her nurturing spirit and unwavering love. Edna was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where she was saved and baptized and later in life became a member of County Line Baptist Church, where she found much solace and fellowship. She had a fulfilling career, having worked in banking and as a bookkeeper for an oil and gas company, but she often expressed that her true calling was her role within her family.
Edna’s hobbies reflected her love for the outdoors; she enjoyed camping, fishing, and cherished the time spent with her family and her beloved fur babies. These activities brought her immense joy and provided lasting memories for her family.
She leaves behind her husband, Clayton Pinkerton; daughters, Pam McCall and husband Steve, Mindy Wiggins and husband Terry, Maureen Haase and husband Mark; son, Mike Kieny and wife Anita; grandchildren, Mike Samsel and wife Amanda, Chad Samsel, Matthew Kieny, Derek Gorkmen and fiancee Lara, Beth Williams, Ryan McElhaney, Shanna Sterling and husband Jonathan, Chelsea Rodriguez and husband Ritchie, Chase McCall and wife McKayla; and six great-grandchildren, her sister Dorothy Howard and nieces Bernadine and Tracey. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen Lynch McCool.
A viewing will be held at Jackson’s Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home on October 17 at 10:30 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, honoring Edna’s compassionate spirit and her enduring impact on all who knew her.
