HAWKINS — Taetum Smith put up 22 assists and recorded her 1,000th career assist as the Hawkins Lady Hawks swept Omaha Paul Pewitt on Tuesday in a District 18-2A volleyball match.



Hawkins won 25-12, 25-13, 25-13 to improve to 2-0 in district.

Smith also added eight digs and five service aces.

Other leaders for the Lady Hawks were Alaya Scoggins (10 kills, 5 blocks, 3 aces), Londyn Wilson (9 kills) and Kalyn Ellison (5 kills, 3 aces).

Hawkins won the JV match 2-0 (25-19, 25-19).

Last Friday, Hawkins opened district with a 3-1 (25-20, 25-15, 14-25, 31-29) win over Union Grove.

Scoggins had a big night for Hawkins with 10 kills and seven blocks. Other standouts were Wilson (7 kills, 5 digs), Abby McQueen (6 kills), Ellison (6 kills), Jaci Smith (5 assists), Taetum Smith (27 assists, 5 digs, 3 blocks, 23 for 23 at service line, 3 aces), Jentri Evans (13 digs) and Alana Gipson (5 digs).

On Friday, the Lady Hawks travel to Ore City for a 4:30 p.m. match.

Mineola 3, Grand Saline 0

MINEOLA — The Mineola Lady ‘Jackets improved to 3-0 in District 15-3A volleyball with a 3-0 win over the Grand Saline Lady Indians.

Mineola won 25-15, 25-17, 26-24.

Stat Leaders for the Lady ‘Jackets were: Mahayla McMahon (10 kills, 6 digs, 2 blocks); Tierany Neighbors (10 kills, 2 aces, 7 digs, 1 block); Trinadee Jackson (12 assists, 1 ace, 6 digs); and Jaycee Maag (10 digs, 2 aces).

On Friday, Mineola won over Eustace 3-0 (27-25, 25-16, 25-17) in Eustace.

Stat Leaders: McMahon (15 kills, 12 digs); Neighbors (8 kills, 3 aces, 18 digs); Olivia Hughes (7 kills, 17 assist, 6 digs); Jackson (17 assist, 2 kills, 1 ace) and Maag (3 aces, 17 digs).

Mineola visits Malakoff on Friday.

Tyler 3, Nacogdoches 1

The Tyler Lady Lions scored a 3-1 win over the Nacogdoches Golden Dragons on Tuesday in a District 15-5A volleyball match at the Lions Den in Tyler.

The Lady Lions improve to 8-16 overall and 3-6.

The Lady Lions play host to Texas High at 5 p.m. Friday.

Rockwall 3, Tyler Legacy 0

ROCKWALL — The Legacy Tyler Lady Raiders fell to the Rockwall Lady ‘Jackets 3-0 on Tuesday in a District 10-6A volleyball match.

Rockwall won 25-23, 25-16, 25-18.

Leaders for Legacy were: Kinzie Parks (4 aces, 7 digs); Taylor Wood (7 kills, 10 digs); Kate Priest (11 digs); Annie Trahan (7 assists, 6 digs); and Abby Trahan (8 assists).

The Lady Raiders are scheduled to visit North Forney for a 5:30 p.m. match on Friday.

Whitehouse 3, Jacksonville 0

JACKSONVILLE — The Whitehouse LadyCats moved to 8-1 in District 15-5A with a 3-0 win over the Jacksonville Maidens on Tuesday.

Whitehouse (27-8) captured a 25-11, 25-13, 25-11 victory. It was the first game of the second round of league play.

Some standouts for the LadyCats include: Kate Flanagan (3 aces, 13 digs), Ashley Rhame (2 aces, 16 assists), Nicole Magouirk (2 ace, 10 assists), Ava Wise (9 kills) and Ellie Cooley (7 kills).

Whitehouse also won the JV (25-11, 25-6) and frosh (25-8, 25-22) matches.

Last Friday, Whitehouse defeated Mount Pleasant 3-0 in Mount Pleasant.

The LadyCats won 25-12, 25-18, 25-13.

Some of the WH standouts were: Rhame (2 aces, 15 assists(), Flanagan (2 aces), Cooley(2 aces), Wise (9 kills), Triniti Purvis (6 kills) and Ella Reese (12 digs).

The Whitehouse JV won 2-0.

The LadyCats return home on Friday, hosting Lufkin in a 4:30 p.m. varsity match at C.L. Nix Wildcat Arena.

Bullard 3, Hudson 2

HUDSON — The Bullard Lady Panthers improve to 2-0 in District 17-4A volleyball with by rallying for a 3-2 victory over the Hudson Lady Hornets on Tuesday.

Bullard won 22-25, 26-28, 25-14, 25-19, 15-9.

Leaders for the Lady Panthers in the five-set match were: Kalia Andres (17 kills, 17 digs); Brooklyn Brannen (14 kills, 8 digs, 2 aces, 2 blocks); Sterling Cox (9 kills); Ava Quesenberry (6 kills); Aubrey Norton (12 kills, 13 assists, 9 digs, 3 aces); Dakota Payne (16 digs); and Avery Fussell (12 digs).

Bullard is 15-16 overall.

The Lady Panthers won both the JV (25-23, 25-21) and frosh (13-25, 25-7, 25-10) matches.

Last Friday in the district opener, Bullard defeated Center 3-0 (25-11, 25-17, 25-15) in Bullard.

Leading the way for Bullard were: Andres (15 kills, 11 digs, 1 ace); Sterling Cox (9 kills); Brannen (8 kills, 10 digs, 1 ace); Norton (12 assists, 3 digs, 1 ace); Julia Garrick (16 assists, 6 digs, 1 ace); Fussell (6 digs); and Payne (5 digs).

Bullard JV won 25-12 25-10.

Lindale 3, Mabank 0

MABANK — Lindale remained unbeaten in District 15-5A volleyball with a 3-0 victory over the Mabank Lady Panthers.

The Lady Eagles (30-7, 5-0) scored a 25-14, 25-17, 25-10.

Lindale leaders include: Ella Hutchens (11 kills, 2 blocks); Alyssa Potts (8 kills, 2 blocks, 5 digs); Addison Ridge (8 kills, 8 digs); Brooke Gissell (5 kills); Jordyn Weesner (4 kills, 1 block); Keirsan Sanders (3 kills); Macy Luster (21 assists, 3 digs, 1 kill); Emory Schmidt (10 assists); Jesse Chandler (5 assists); Reagan Hope led (13 digs); and Callie Schmidt (8 digs).

Lindale won the JV match 2-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-15). Leading the JV were: Skyler McDonald (15 kills, 3 digs); Addyson Daughtry (7 kills); Emma Watkins (6 kills, 4 digs, 1 assist, 1 block, 1 ace); Saige Myers (5 kills, 4 digs, 2 aces); Kaidance Smith (25 assists, 3 kills, earned 3 kills, 3 digs, 1 ace); A.J. McPherson (3 kills); and Baylee Brooks (15 digs).

The Lady Eagles won the Frosh A team 2-0 (25-17, 25-16). Leading the way were: Kenlee Keith (8 assists, 3 aces, 1 dig, 1 kill); Bryleigh Jackson (5 kills); Brynlee Wilson (4 kills); Braylee Willard (3 kills); Dylan Grace (6 digs, 1 ace); and Saniyah Clayton (3 assists, 2 aces).

Lindale travels to Kemp on Friday for a 4:30 p.m. match.

Marshall 3, Mount Pleasant 0

MOUNT PLEASANT — The Marshall Lady Mavs swept past Mount Pleasant, 25-17, 25-17, 25-16, in District 10-5A action on Tuesday.

Callie Fancher finished the night with three aces, seven digs and 12 assists for Marshall. Terria Wilson had six blocks and four kills, Joi Burks 12 digs, Ahjia James four digs and six assists, Molly Skinner six digs, Kinlee Smith two aces, four kills, three blocks and five digs and Bri Theus six kills, five digs and four blocks.

Henderson 3, Cumberland 0

HENDERSON — The Henderson Lady Lions got a combined 37 kills from Addison Standley and Kate Charlo and a combined 32 assists from Mary Ella Hampton and Hannah Nelson on the way to a 25-18, 25-17, 25-21 District 16-4A win over Cumberland Academy.

Charlo had 17 kills, two blocks and nine digs for the Lady Lions. Standley finished with 20 kills, two blocks and three digs, Hampton 17 assists, two aces and two digs and Nelson 15 assists, two kills and three digs. Chloe Ellis chipped in with three digs, Jayda Brown five assists, Brinklee Bowman two kills and two digs, Nolyn Norris 11 digs and two aces, Greenlee Goodwin four blocks, Preslie Costlow a block and a dig and Tara McNew six digs.

White Oak 3, Arp 0

WHITE OAK — Alli Sims handed out 34 assists, Londyn Baker, Andee Bridges and Addison McClanahan recorded 14 kills apiece and the White Oak Ladynecks improved to 4-1 in District 16-3A play (22-15 overall) with a 25-17, 25-14, 25-15 sweep of Arp.

McClanahan added six digs and two aces for White Oak. Sims had four digs, Londyn Bodovsky five aces, two kills and three blocks, Aley Dixon five kills and Karsyn Edwards 10 receptions and six digs.

Tatum 3, Troup 0

TROUP — The No. 3 ranked Tatum Lady Eagles rolled to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-17 sweep over Troup on Tuesday in District 16-3A action.

Taydem Barker finished with 29 assists, three kills and five digs for Tatum. Kamdyn Scott had 13 kills, 12 digs and three aces, Kaysen Foster eight kills and 14 digs, Kyndal Greenwood five digs and four aces, Karly Stroud two assists, 11 digs and two aces and Taylor Jacobs four kills and four digs.

West Rusk 3, Sabine 0

LIBERTY CITY — The West Rusk Lady Raiders swept to a 25-23, 25-16, 25-13 District 16-3A win over the Sabine Lady Cardinals on Tuesday.

Sarah Roberts had 12 kills and seven digs in the loss for Sabine. Addy Carney chipped in with five digs, Landry Griffith three digs, Anslee Brown four kills, Caitlyn Stewart 20 digs and two kills, Ella Phillips four digs, Camryn Tatum two kills and four digs, Keeley McCann 16 assists, nine digs, nine digs and two aces, Addison Spears one block assist, Trinity Jones two kills and four digs and Kaitlyn Sanchez three blocks.

New Diana 3, Harmony 1

DIANA — The New Diana Lady Eagles got 20 kills from Starrmia Dixon and a combined 46 assists from Taryn Reece and Ava Smith on the way to a 26-24, 15-25, 25-14, 25-22 District 13-3A win over No. 14 ranked Harmony.

Dixon also had two digs and two blocks for New Diana. Reece added 25 assists, two aces, 17 digs and three kills, and Smith finished with 21 assists, 18 digs and four kills. Chloe Green had eight kills, 18 digs and two aces, Jolie Ballard 13 kills, 12 digs and two aces, Gaby Martinez three kills, three digs and three aces, Avery Howard 17 digs and Bailee Hagler five digs.
