Two adults died and a child was injured Saturday in a Tyler car crash.

Tyler Police Department officers responded to a fatal crash at about 8:20 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 271 and Farm-to-Market 2015 in Smith County.
The investigation indicated a pickup truck traveling south on FM 2015 pulled out in front of a minivan heading northeast on Hwy 271, according to Tyler Police.
The driver and front passenger of the minivan, identified as 62-year-old Tammy Gibney and 39-year-old Chelsea Askew, both from Louisiana, were pronounced dead at the scene. Their family has been notified.
An 11-year-old child who was in the backseat of the minivan was flown to a Dallas hospital in critical condition.
The pickup driver, who was the sole occupant, was taken to a local hospital.
The case is still under investigation, and charges are pending against the pickup driver.
