The Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) on Aug. 21 announced the appointment of Grant Ingram as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective this fall. The announcement was made by Henry Bell, President of the TACC.
A Tyler native, Ingram brings a wealth of experience and local knowledge to his new role. He is an alumnus of Grace Community School in Tyler and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Tech University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management.
Currently, Ingram serves as the assistant city manager and executive director of the Graham Economic Development Corporation in Graham. He first joined the Graham Chamber of Commerce in 2019 as the Convention and Visitors Bureau manager, following his tenure as director of operations for a Wyoming guest ranch.
In addition to his professional roles, the chamber says Ingram is an active community leader. He serves on the board of the North Central Texas College Foundation and the Lakes Chapter of the Texas Tech Alumni Association. He is also president of the Graham Concert Association and a co-founder of John 1:12 Productions and the Brazos Cleanup Project. His past leadership roles include serving as president of the Rotary Club, the Young County Leadership Program, and as a board member of the Texas Forts Trail Region.
“We are thrilled to welcome Grant Ingram as a member of senior leadership at the Tyler Area Chamber,” Bell said. “His management experience and strategic planning skills perfectly match this newly created position. Grant’s passion for promoting the business community and advocating for economic growth will be a big asset to the Chamber and our community.”
In his new position at the Tyler Area Chamber, Ingram will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving strategic initiatives, and managing the overall activities of the Chamber. He will work closely with Henry Bell, President; Scott Martinez, CEO; and the Board of Directors. His key responsibilities will encompass operational leadership, strategic planning, financial management, membership engagement, program development, event coordination, advocacy, community relations, staff development, and the integration of new technologies.
“It’s an honor to be returning home to the great city of Tyler to join the Chamber of Commerce under the leadership of Mr. Henry Bell and Mr. Scott Martinez. I’m humbled by this opportunity to join such a dedicated team,” Graham said. “Together, we will remain steadfast to the Chamber’s mission of service and advocacy while looking to build on our successes for the benefit of our members and our community in the future.”
Ingram and his wife Hannah are parents to a 15-month-old boy name Banks, and are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby girl, Holden.
