GRAND SALINE — A water main break affected residents in Grand Saline on Tuesday.

The city experienced a major water leak from a 12-inch water main near the intersection of North Spring Street at Wolfe Street, the city said in a Facebook post around 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Residents were told to expect water outages, especially to the North/West section of town. While work was being performed, residents were told to expect water discoloration.

Before 5:20 p.m., the city announced that the water line had been repaired and said there is no need for residents to boil their water.

“Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Public works did a great job getting the repairs done as quickly as possible. Way to go guys,” the city stated in a Facebook page.
