An investigation is underway after a bomb threat was received at a Tyler grocery store on Wednesday, officials said.

Brookshire Grocery Co. said it confirms the Brookshire’s located on Roseland Boulevard in Tyler, received a bomb threat Wednesday.

“Our store leadership team reacted immediately to notify local law enforcement and evacuate the building,” the company said in a statement. “There were no materials found and we are working with state and federal officials on the investigation.

“We are so thankful for our leaders and local heroes who reacted swiftly to make sure our store is safe. BGC’s number one priority is the health and safety of our employee-partners and customers.”

The Tyler Morning Telegraph continues to pursue further information from law enforcement. The City of Tyler is closed in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
