Letters to the Editor

Thanks for helping in time of need

After a storm on May 23-24, many came together to help restore power and clean up debris, including officials and community members. A couple things I’d like to point out:

First, how quick the power company was out to assess the damage as power was out. When the storm passed, I went out to see the damage and trees down from the storm then went out on to County Road 4223 and found trees down. I went back to my house and got my chainsaw, and after clearing the first tree came across the power company doing an assessment and he told me power would be on the next day. It was, at 2 a.m.

I stayed on the second massive tree and then the neighbors arrived in the trucks, UTVs and tractors. We tackled that one into the dark hours then I returned home to hook up my generator as I was not sure power would be back on. And I know for some they are still waiting, as I write this on May 24 at 5 p.m. and look across the lake and see the power company still working.

I also noticed the Red Cross set up at the community center in Coffee City. Wow, what fantastic emergency response by the services and the neighborhood. I knew it was a good idea to move and build here.

Just wanted to thank everyone including your newspaper for being there and helping in such a event.

Elect Trump to save our rights

Kangaroo biased political court falsely convicted Donald Trump on 34 counts of misdemeanor falsifying business records and elevated them to felony counts, supposedly because they were to cover up another crime. No one knows what the crime was. Another misdemeanor? Whatever the statue of time limitation had run out.

Had something to do with 2016 election. Shameful, blatant judicial manipulation, obviously aided by Biden’s Justice Department personnel for political reasons.

Citizens should be fearful of what has happened: Our Constitution has been violated, citizens’ Bill of Rights trashed, blind equal justice destroyed, citizens’ faith in government shaken. Shameful political Democrat persecution.

What can and should a patriotic American do? Elect Trump to save our rights! Send a donation to DonaldJTrump.com! Volunteer to help Texas Republican offices. Vote and take a neighbor friend. Write a letter to the editor, call your representative, senators and White House and request Biden’s resignation. Be part of saving our America.
