Search continues for missing person ‘Alex’ Perez

Jose Alejandro “Alex” Perez

The Tyler Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance locating a missing person, Jose Alejandro “Alex” Perez.

Perez, 44, from Tyler, works as an operational manager for continued education at Tyler Junior College. He was last seen at approximately 9 p.m. on April 26 at the Towne Oaks Apartments. He is 6-foot-1, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a pink shirt, black sweatpants and blue and white slide-type sandals.



He left the apartment complex in a 2016 white Hyundai Sonata. On April 29, detectives located his Hyundai Sonata at 5207 Hollytree Dr. Perez was not located.

As time passes, family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned.

Maria Mendez, Perez’s aunt, told CBS19 that Alex kept his personal life private, but she is now realizing how loved he is by so many of his friends.

ALSO MISSING: Harley Morris

Also still missing is Harley Morris, 29, who was last seen around 3 a.m. Jan. 21 walking north alone in the 2100 block of North Grand Avenue after leaving the 50 Grand Club. The area is near Texas College.

He is 6-foot-3, weighs 160 pounds, and has blonde hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie with gray sleeves, black pants and a black Prime 102 baseball-style hat.
