Josh Meadows claimed the silver in the 500 freestyle.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Tyler Legacy Red Raiders are the district swimming & diving champions.

The Red Raiders, led by the gold medal winning 200 medley relay and a first-place finish by Josh Meadows, scored 150 points to win the boys district championship on Saturday at the Rockwall ISD Aquatic Center in Rockwall.

Rockwall finished second with 120 points, while Rockwall-Heath was third at 117.

In the girls race, Rockwall was first with 149 points, followed by Rockwall-Heath (134) and Tyler Legacy (113).

“We only won one relay and one individual event, so the boys first place team finish was based on our depth with almost every team member scoring points,” Legacy Coach Jason Petty said. “Almost every single swimmer went their best time and moved up in the standing to benefit the team.
