Former Mabank Fire Department member dies following 3 decades of service

MABANK, Texas — The Mabank Fire Department is mourning the loss of long-time member, Wayne McKenzie, who died on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

According to the Moorhead Funeral Home obituary, McKenzie lived to be 63-years-old and served over 30 years for the Mabank Fire Department.

“He was a hard-working man who never met a chore he couldn’t do or a task he wouldn’t accomplish,” the obituary read.
