The 11th Annual Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award winner was announced Wednesday night during a gala at the W.T. Brookshire Conference Center.

The evening began with a VIP reception and continued with a dinner and program, during which the winner was announced as Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II.

The five finalists included:

Jonathon Brooks, running back, Texas, sophomore, Hallettsville (Hallettsville High School);

Ollie Gordon II, running back, Oklahoma State, sophomore, Fort Worth (Euless Trinity HS);

Ashton Jeanty, running back, Boise State, sophomore, Jacksonville, Florida (Frisco Lone Star HS);

Jalen Milroe, quarterback, Alabama, sophomore, Katy (Tompkins HS); and

Kaidon Salter, quarterback, Liberty, sophomore, Cedar Hill (Cedar Hill HS).

Gordon, Jeanty and Salter were all present at the banquet.
