There are three finalists in each category. The top three consist of nominees who received the most votes in their respective categories.

Currently in its third year, the ETX View 40 Under Forty program is recognized as a premier way to honor young professionals in the region.

ETX View created the 40 Under Forty awards program in 2021 with a goal to recognize impactful East Texans who contribute to making the area a special place to live. All the nominees are leaders in their fields, submitted by their peers and fellow community members. With 40 categories of industry, the awards program aims to honor people from all different careers and walks of life.

The annual program begins with an online nomination phase, where the community can nominate any young professional who has achieved success, given back to East Texas and excelled in their field of expertise before the age of 40. Next is the voting phase, during which readers have the opportunity to vote daily for one of the three finalists in each category.

Lastly, winners are announced then prominently spotlighted in a keepsake publication. The 40 Under Forty magazine will be released Friday, Dec. 22. It will be delivered to Tyler Morning Telegraph and Longview News-Journal subscribers.
