Megan Gray of Tyler is a Master of Arts degree candidate at UT Tyler whose work is currently displayed at the UT Tyler Fine Arts Complex Gallery.

Her thesis exhibition, titled “it’s too heavy, not now,” shows off her sculptures and installations that involve different textures to evoke various emotions in viewers. The exhibition will conclude Dec. 1.

On Thursday, starting at 6 p.m. in the gallery, the Department of Art and Art History will host a public reception.

Gray holds associate degrees in teaching and art from Tyler Junior College as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UT Tyler. She will graduate with a UT Tyler Master of Arts in art next month.

The UT Tyler Fine Arts Complex Gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and by special appointment.
