TYLER — Linda Diane Tullis, 70, passed away on October 2, 2023, after a courageously fought battle with cancer. She was born on March 31, 1953, in Longview, Texas to her loving parents Wayne and Diane Rumsey.
Linda graduated from high school in 1971, then attended business school thereafter. She most enjoyed her employment at her church and church school. She met the true love of her life, William Tullis, on the first day of their tenth-grade history class. They celebrated 41 years of loving marriage on September 24, 2023. Linda loved the Lord, her family and her friends fiercely. When she wasn’t doting over her five grandchildren as their Gigi, she enjoyed antiquing, home decorating, Bible study, traveling to Colorado in the fall to see the magnificent color change of the Aspen leaves, and exploring other beautiful countries with friends, to name a few.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, John Rumsey and Ron Rumsey. Left to cherish her memories are her parents, Wayne and Diane Rumsey; husband, William Tullis; sister and brother-in-law, Pam and Bill Kerekesh; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Rumsey and Lisa Weilnau; brother, Mark Parker; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Ross Campbell; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and Caleb Tandy; son and daughter-in-law, John and Ashley Tullis. A time of visiting and remembering Linda will be held after the service with lunch being served. A special thanks to the staff at The Hospice of East Texas for their loving and compassionate care during this difficult time.
