Voting is officially underway for ETX View’s third annual 40 Under Forty awards program.
Voting opened Thursday and will continue through Oct. 29. The 40 Under Forty awards recognize young professionals who have achieved success and excelled in their field of expertise before the age of 40.
Nominees represent the most innovative and impactful young leaders in 40 different verticals of business in the Tyler and Longview areas.
During a nomination phase, community members nominated thousands of East Texans they felt were worthy of recognition. In its third year, the awards program has grown with the highest community participation yet. ETX View received over 58,00 nominations and over 16,500 people who participated in the nominations.
After a verification process, the top finalists in each category were selected because they received the most nominations in their respective categories.
Now, the community of East Texas is invited to share in the excitement and vote for those they deem the most influential in each of the 40 categories of industry. Voters can vote once per day in each category by visiting ETX View’s website at etxview.com or directly at tinyurl.com/40underforty2023 .
Nominees will be photographed and interviewed during the voting phase.
The nominee in each category who receives the most votes will be named the winner in their respective industry. In the event of a category tie, judges consisting of the editor and publisher of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Longview News-Journal and ETX View along with the president of M. Roberts Media will select the nominees to move forward
The winners will be unveiled during a virtual awards ceremony at 11 a.m. Dec. 14. Invitations will be sent.
In addition to the awards ceremony, ETX View will publish a special edition of the magazine on Dec. 17 in which the 40 winners will be profiled. Nominees will be photographed and interviewed during the voting phase.
