Kurt DeShazo Liptak

Kurt DeShazo Liptak passed away on September 19, 2023, in Austin, TX after a short battle with cancer.

Kurt was born on August 6, 1965 in San Antonio, TX. He was the youngest child of Dr. Richard A. Liptak and Darthy Jean Simons Liptak, who preceded him in death. Kurt is survived by his wife, Sandy Karas Liptak of Cedar Park, TX, his brother Eric A. Liptak and his wife, Teri Liptak of Tyler, TX, his brother Paul M. Liptak and his wife, Kim Liptak of Dallas, TX and his sister, Dr. Mary E. Liptak Bartz and her husband, David Bartz of Austin, TX. Kurt is also survivied by his nephew Logan B. Liptak and his wife, Kasey Liptak, and his great nephew, Ethan Liptak of Tyler, TX, as well as his nephew, Matthew M. Liptak of Dallas, TX, and his nieces Abbey Bartz of Colorado Springs, Co, and Amanda Bartz of Austin, TX. In accordance with Kurt’s wishes, no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Blue Santa program.
