Texans should remember

March 6, 1836

I am a native Texan and as such know a little bit about the events of March 1836.

I am a little surprised that no one seems to have noticed that events of 1836 and 2022, seem to have much in common.

In 1836 the Republic of Texas was attacked by a large military force from a large and powerful military country to our south with the intent to annex Texas into their territory – claiming the land of Texas was theirs from the beginning.

The attacking forces raised havoc all through South Texas as they move north and eventually, culminating at the battle of the Alamo, brave Texas citizens and other freedom loving people, gave their lives in the defense of the homeland.

That day was, March 6, 1836. What is today’s date?

We know the outcome of the Republic of Texas.

All Texans should be in remembrance of that day, and focus their thoughts, prayers and resources toward the courageous people of the Ukraine at this climactic time.

New residents give praise

to local hospital

My husband Shawn Odendhal recently had hernia surgery at the Tyler Christus Mother Frances hospital. As new Texas residents we were hesitant going to any hospital during a time when too many hospitals in America are no longer refuges for healing and even unsafe for patients and their families, especially COVID patients. We were very pleasantly surprised — so much so that we want to publicly say how happy we are with Christus .

The entire Christus staff was fantastic. We were treated superbly during a stressful time with caring, thorough and professional service. This includes the surgeon, registration and administrative, nursing, janitorial, gift shop and all other staff. All areas are meticulously clean and cheerfully well lit. I was comforted and heartened hearing a morning prayer over the speaker in the waiting area. Wow!

Communication came directly to me during the entire surgical and recovery process via nurse instruction, an instruction card, texts, the large screen in waiting area and even personal phone calls from a human being (no impersonal recordings). How surprised I was with unquestionably fabulous, personal service.

Our hope is that more hospitals nationwide return to the caring and excellence clearly demonstrated at Christus .

Biden has done irreparable

harm to the nation

It’s been two years since our government felt is was necessary for lockdowns, travel bands, school closures, mask mandates and dealing with about one million COVID deaths.

Since then, the government will be telling the American people they finally have the necessary tools to protect themselves from the COVID. The Democrats will certainly take credit for ending the COVID crisis and to point out their victories in developing and distributing vaccines while providing economic stability to the American people.

However, the truth of the matter is a different story. Operation Warp Speed implemented by President Donald Trump deserves the credit for the development of vaccines and the necessary efforts to distribute them to the American people.

The Biden administration cannot claim economic stability since inflation is at its highest point in over 40 years, delivery of products sent to the nation from abroad has failed miserably and economic uncertainty runs rampant among the citizens.

Biden has emboldened our enemies and has become the laughing stock among allies. He is perceived as a bumbling, mumbling idiot on the international stage. His mental faculties are so compromised, he loses his way to the office at the White House. Russia and Chinese leaders are easily taking advantage of his impaired mental capacity and lack of resolve to confront these nations economically and militarily.

Biden has done irreparable harm to this nation. He is clearly a puppet of Obama who is pulling his strings. Biden is incapable of leading this nation and needs to be removed from office. However, his replacement Kamala Harris would be an even bigger disaster for the nation.

We are now witnessing the downward spiral of this great country and there is no one at the helm to stop all of this.

Wake up and save America

History says weakness and appeasement invites aggression and war.

President Joe Biden is the weakest, most incompetent and irresponsible president in history.

History will conclude that Putin is a modern-day Hitler and Biden is Neville Chamberlin reincarnated.

Wake up, America, or history will repeat worldwide.

In just one year, Biden policy has destroyed: U.S. energy independence, U.S. world leadership and respect, U.S. economy with inflation and trust in our government and Congress. The U.S. border is wide open to terrorists and all criminals. Spending and debt are totally out of control. Schools are subverted by communist teachings. The country is divided by hate groups. Election honesty is questioned by Biden’s questionable win. We’re on the brink of permanent rule by Democrats, pending the current vote.
