CALVARY VS. CAVALRY

On Veterans Day on page 4B you had this picture of Master Sergeant George Campbell as serving in the Calvary. Calvary was where Jesus was crucified.

I served the year of 1952 in combat in Korea in a General Patton tank. We were in the armored cavalry — different word.

In your article on the right hand side with the crossed sabers, it is used correctly.

I married the year after I was discharged. We subscribed to the Tyler Morning Telegraph in 1955, lived in the same house for 65 years, and still enjoy our paper.

BIPARTISAN MOTORSPORTS ACT

I respectfully request that Congress pass the Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act, H.R. 5434/S. 2602, in 2020. The bipartisan RPM Act protects the right to convert an automobile or motorcycle into a racecar used exclusively at the track.

Modifying a vehicle into a racecar is an integral part of America’s automotive heritage. Many types of racing, including NASCAR, were founded on the premise that street vehicles, including motorcycles, can be converted into dedicated race vehicles. Racing events are an economic driver for many communities and a source of affordable family-friendly entertainment for millions, with participants that range from professionals to novices using converted race vehicles.

Congress never intended for the Clean Air Act (CAA) to apply to motor vehicles modified for competition use only. However, the EPA maintains that CAA requires converted vehicles driven exclusively on the track to remain emissions-compliant.

The RPM Act clarifies that transforming motor vehicles into racecars used exclusively for competition does not violate the CAA. It is imperative that Congress passes the RPM Act to provide long-term certainty to racers and motorsports parts businesses.

Louie Gohmert’s call to take to the streets, for those unhappy with Joseph Biden’s decisive victory is of national concern. As a sojourner and church consultant in Tyler and E. Texas, I have been aware of Louie’s opinions and “truths” for years. Full disclosure: I agree with him on nearly nothing. Further, he embarrasses you every day he is in office. I know people in E. Texas; you are better than Louie Gohmert — I hope. I am with Louie on this one, though, with one caveat: start with — and keep the rioting and protesting at home. Time for good ole Louie to have his ideas plop in his own lap.

UPSET WITH ELECTION

I am representative of typical patriotic hard working Americans! My wife and I started in an apartment, then a house trailer, then a rent house, then I started my own business. Worked even harder and longer hours. We prospered and slowly achieved the American Dream over the next 40 years of hard work and doing our civic duties. I was a delegate to both Democrat and Republican state conventions, drafted to be president of the East Texas Geological Association, invited to be a grand jury member, courted by bankers, invited to attend Federal Reserve luncheons, personal calls from congressmen, invited to attend small personal meeting with our senator. All from a start in a house trailer!

Over the years, I saw our government change from a flag waving conservative congress in the 1950s to whining socialists, to out of spending control and our politicians more interested in “getting rich” in office that doing what is best for our Country. Fraud and legal stealing are too common! We all had respect for congress, the FBI and our Supreme Court! Frankly that is mostly GONE because of their “criminal” actions! From money crimes in congress to the courts approving killing the unborn!

In summary, I am on the verge of losing all faith in both political parties who can’t even hold an honest election! Over 71 million voters supported our President Trump who many believe is the greatest president since Washington or Lincoln! It is apparent that Trump won this election by a 70% landslide! That must be the final justice or this 2020 election will likely be our last election because our Constitution will no longer be the law of the land!

Biden is simply not a “health” qualified presidential candidate plus he is an unprosecuted crook in millions of peoples opinion! Radical socialism would likely emerge into Communism before the next election! If the 2020 election can not be legal — how could the next election possibly be “fair or legal” under total Democrat control? It can’t be because this fraudulent election is a CLEAR STEP INTO THE BIBLICAL ABYSS OF EVIL!

This evil mis-step could last for many generations before total anarchy corrects it!
