Letters to the Editor

As we approach the Christmas season, allow me to share the addresses of some organizations that need our help.

This terrible virus may keep people from helping the Salvation Army.

In years past, every time we visited Brookshire’s, my granddaughter Jordan would say, “Granny we need to “pay the lady” referring to the volunteer bell ringer. When she reached her early teens, we became bell ringers one year at the mall in front of Penney’s. She really learned about the blessing of sharing with those less fortunate.

International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, P.O. 97339, Washington, DC 20077-7472

The fellowship helps the surviving Jews who were in the holocaust as children, now elderly, they have no families to help them. My heart breaks when I realize they are now my age ‘87’ and are alone.

My Italian born grandparents blessed me by coming to this beautiful “land of liberty.”
