I believe that rioters are criminals. I also believe that protesters are not criminals and have a right to express themselves through peaceful protesting. Thank you for the list or organizations that need help.

I suggest that you try watching more than Fox News from time to time and get a different perspective. The man in the White House continues to publicly ridicule and lie about anyone who has a different opinion from him. That is obvious on Fox. Is that “loving your neighbor as you love yourself?” I think not.

The bible verse in yesterday’s paper brought a smile on my face and a tear in my eyes.

“The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” 2 Thessalonians 3:10

My Italian grandparents were hard workers and also helped my widowed mother raise us. My brother and I were expected to be serious and good students and to be able to take care of ourselves as adults. We had part-time jobs while we were in high school, which kept us very busy. I worked 17 hours a week at Somerville Public Library making 55 cents an hour. My brother worked at a local café as a dishwasher. This was in the late 40’s, early 50’s.

My grandparents had a different way to convey bible truths. Their reason “You don’t work, you don’t eat.” I raised my children on the same verse.

Parents do a very big mistake when they give adult children things they should earn for themselves.

My Lord was a carpenter, a very strong trade in his day. God prepared Him for His death on the Cross. In those times sons usually were taught to take over their father’s trade. Some of the apostles were fishermen, because their fathers were fishermen. No lazy bunch among them.

Thank you for this verse. It has so many happy memories for me.
